Giovanni Zazzera

 

Dancer and choreographer, Giovanni Zazzera was forms at the Luxembourg Dance Conservatory and there landed his higher diploma. He then decides to go to Brazil, following in-depth training in contemporary dance and ballet. He will receive the opportunity to work for various companies such as Cia. Ama Amarildo Casiano and Co. Fernando Lima.

He continues to follow different courses and training in Paris, New York and Tel Aviv and following an intensive course in Gaga dance with the company. Batsheva led by Ohad Nahrim. His career and his various encounters led him to discover the many worlds and languages ​​of dance, allowing it to develop a multidisciplinary approach and a personal sensitivity in his career as a dancer.

 

Since 2010 he performed regularly on stage and work for various projects and companies. (Theatre of Trier, Co. Via Verde, The people Uterpan, Polypous Co., Kimmo Alakunas, Mirage Co., Rhymson Danz, Moadance Company, Vedanza ...)

It will also have the opportunity to work on the Luxembourg scene with choreographers like Annick Pütz, Jean Guillaume Weis and Bernard Baumgarte.

 

In 2013 he was awarded the Dance Award in Luxembourg for his many commitments.

For over 3 years he created his own pieces as choreographer. His first creation "IF I ..." realized in 2013 will be presented E-motional Rethinking Dance Festival Bacau (Romania), as well as for L.O.F.T LuxTanzFestival in Leipzig. Other pieces will follow as "REVERSE" "WHEN THE SILENCE SPEAKS" and "SECRETS" a creation designed for emergencies 2015. This piece will have the opportunity to be presented to TanzMainz Mainz Festival and participate entant an extract solo for Barnes Crossing solo / Duo Festival in Köln in 2016. Her latest choreographic creation will be titled "FLOWERS GROW, EVEN IN THE SAND"

 

In his artistic approach, Giovanni Zazzera also teaches contemporary dance giving various workshops and courses on technical, improvisations, floorwork and contact dance tools. Seeking constantly to develop and write a Choreographic language that mixes emotion, quality and physicality in a fusion power and smooth fusion.
